The current evidence shows this character means "hunchbacked" and "bent". This word is also common in my hometown dialect (Zhanjiang sub-dialect of the Chinese Yue-dialects). The most common form is [kʰɐu⁴⁴⁵ iu⁴⁴⁵] which [iu⁴⁴⁵] is 腰 (waist) in this word, and [kʰɐu⁴⁴⁵] itself could also used as "hunchbacked" but there is no the meaning of "bent" now. Some of Zhanjiang sub-dialect native speakers write this word as 佝 because the meaning of the common Chinese word 佝偻 is similar to [kʰɐu⁴⁴⁵ iu⁴⁴⁵] here. Note that the aspirated consonants don't exit in the standard Zhuang and so many Zhuang dialects.

The source reference for U+28233 𨈳 is GHZ-63809.21. 《汉语大字典》 shows the meaning is lost or unknown, and the authors collected this word from the following book.

▲ 陸佃:《鶡冠子》,守約篇本,卷下,天權第十七

On the other hand, U+28233 𨈳 is used for Chengdu sub-dialect of the Chinese Southwestern Mandarin-dialects, but the meaning is totally different.

▲ 《汉语方言大词典》, p. 6206

Therefore, there is no evidence to prove they are variant now.
