Review Comments
This glyph most likely came from the word 'svastika' (like the evidense says) written in Siddham script, and then reimagined as a Chinese character, with typical CJK elements (except for the lowest part, but it is written as 口 in the first evidence anyways).
There are more CJK ideograph that evolved from Siddham: both encoded (U+2007C & U+2CF36) and currently unencoded (IRG2017: V-F000E / IRG2021: UK-20566~UK-20572). Many of them are listed in the 字孳補 dictionary.
On the picture you can see my preliminary thoughts on Siddham prototypes for those glyphs (this needs more research, as in some cases, I think, phonetics/forms do not match the glyphs).
