Hanyu Da Zidian cites the same source 《續通志》 in its entry, referring to the exact personal name presented.

Disagree. This character was cited from the 《交聘表》 section of the Jin History 《金史》, not from 《續通誌》. The Jin History shows the correct form of the character as ⿱少兒. See additional evidence below.

On the other hand, 《續通誌》 gives the character incorrectly as ⿱小兒 (see below). ⿱小兒 may be unified with U+3778 㝸, but the correct character ⿱少兒 needs to be encoded separately.
