The transcription is apparently wrong. The original character has 黽 or 龜 on the left side and 攴(攵) on right. The shape has nothing similar to 免 (or maybe 兔).
This page contains another misprint regarding this character: 我狩卜．禽？ should be 我狩[this character]．禽？, therefore it is suspected that the glyph is a confusion at typographer's side.
