Not totally the same, but unifiable.
屻 is often used as the geographical names in Chinese Hakka-dialects, such as 马岵屻 (福建省龙岩市上杭县), 九岽屻 (福建省龙岩市武平县), 郭坑屻 (福建省龙岩市连城县) and 正屻 (广东省清远市阳山县, and the residents migrated from 广东省清远市英德市白沙镇潭头村).
In fact, 岃 is the proper form, but GB/T 2312 and Big 5 didn’t include it. The users use the easier form 屻. 大刀岃 was wrote as 大刀屻 (and the bus station name) in Hong Kong SAR (China). See here, p.2.
