The pronounciation of 沓 in 粤语 is tʰap22、tap22, which reads like "the noise of rain falling on hard substances", so the right part of this character should be a variant of “沓” and ⿰口㳫 and
𠴲 are congnate.
We do not oppose unification if a new UCV for 沓~㳫 is defined.
㳫 is a corrupted form of 沓 according to the Kangxi Dictionary.
