| Notes | This is a nonce character that was devised by Chen Yinke 陳寅恪 (1890–1969) as an example in his influential essay 《與劉文典教授論國文試題書》 which was first published in Ta Kung Pao Literary Supplement in 1932 《大公報・文學副刊》(民國二十一年九月五日). Because Chen Yinke was an extremely important intellectual during the early 20th-century, his essay was widely reprinted during the 1930s, and is reprinted in numerous modern editions of the works of Chen Yinke. The evidence provided gives a very strong case for encoding this character. |
