況祥麟, the author of 六書管見, comments on 《說文•宀部》「家，居也。从宀，豭省聲。」. By comparing 豭葭麚椵暇 with 家, he argues that if we extend the rule that 豭 derives 家, then 葭 should be ⿱宀艸, 暇 should be ⿱宀日 and 麚 should be ⿱宀鹿.
