The new evidence on Comment #9417 looked very interesting. “蛋~” on the picture means “egg tart” which is written as 蛋撻 in Hong Kong SAR. However, this bakery looked to sell more Teochow style dessert (dim sum), bread and so on.

The following menu shows the English name is translated from Vietnamese name “Kim Hưng”. See here. It is a pity that we can not find the Vietnamese reading for this usage.


As we know, the second syllable of 蛋撻 is the Cantonese loan word of English word “tart”, which is also written as “蛋塔”, but the final consonant of 塔 is not -t in Cantonese.
