Chairman Mao once mentioned 仲家人 in his famous article 《中国革命和中国共产党人》. He juxtaposed 僮人 (Zhuang) and 仲家人, so 仲家人 not means Zhuang. In other other paper, other scholar mentioned 仲苗 means current 布依族 (Bouyei), and the new evidence on #7788 shows clearly 苗⿰犭仲 live in Yunnan and Guizhou (滇=Yunnan, 黔=Guizhou), which matches Bouyei. On the other hand, Zhuang and Bouyei are relevant, maybe the etymology is similar to “cuengh” in Zhuang language.
